The OBA building, opened in 2007, houses the main public library of Amsterdam. It displays books, cd's and dvd's over 7 floors. With its liberal opening hours of 10am-10pm, 7 days a week, it attracts many people for studying, reading and borrowing books. There are over a 1,000 seats, there are 490 computers with internet connection.

I got a subscription at Amstelveen so I'm not sure if you can borrow books with your OBA card (better ask the reception desk). But yes, the WiFi in the library and cafe is free.
