La Roque is a micro-climate and we saw palms, bamboo, passion flowers, agave, and all kinds of other semi-tropical plants growing all along the path. About half-way along is an very old and fairly uninteresting church that is fronted by a courtyard with splendid views. Hope this helps. We're very glad we spent a couple hours in La Roque-Gageac.
