Leighton Beach Leighton Beach in North Fremantle gets the most swell around here and the beach breaks are popular with beginners. There is an established surf school here to help people onto their first wave. The circular grassy area behind the dunes is well equipped with BBQ and recreational facilities for a nice day at the beach.
